Back on the road again...

Dec 2008

Glad to be able to report a public gig!
Come to the Telford's in Chester. It's free to get in before 9pm, and about £4 after. And you can dance.
Well, if you can dance, if you get my meaning..

Great News

October 2004

This is what you've all been waiting for....
Following a bunch of soul-searching and some hard negotiations Tox and Dolman are teaming up with Pete Hague of "Deuces Wild". It's been decided that the name of Cat Scratch Fever will stand tall and proud on our banner, so you don't need to change anything on your computer or Christmas card list.

We played at the Duke of Edinburgh in Barrow last night and had the time of our lives. The audience did too, but unfortunately Dolman forgot to take photos. Ah well, next time. However, you can still see some on the "Deuces Wild" page which will, of course, be going soon, 'cos we don't need it any more....

Sad News

Martin Pleass has decided to leave the band.
Now then. At present Tox and Dolman are undecided over what the future of Cat Scratch Fever should be, but work with Perfectly Frank and various other jazz incarnations goes from strength to strength. There are various festivals booked in already, and a lot of miles to be put under the van wheels, so, whilst pondering the next step of CSF, they won't be letting the grass grow under their feet.

We played at the Sildajazz Festival in Haugesund in August.
There's something for everyone - Trad, Modern, Free, Samba. There are also lots of jam sessions and as you can see David Knopov from Perfectly Frank joined Tox and various members of the Jive Aces for a few Louis Prima songs late one night. The venue is the old Herring Market and it stops when the last person falls off the stage - great fun!
There will be more photos and stuff in a few days.

We're looking forward to next year already.......
